Notice 1003 Submission of Statistics and Returns

Requirements for all merchant banks on the submission of monthly statistical reports, including format, completion notes and timeframe.

This notice requires all merchant banks in Singapore to submit statistical reports to MAS on:

  • Monthly statement of assets and liabilities.
  • Return on monthly foreign exchange business transacted.
  • Classified exposures and collateral value of housing loans.

Note: Notice 1003 dated 17 May 2018 (64.1 KB) and Appendix A1: Reporting Forms (593.4 KB) will take effect on 1 October 2020.

MAS Notice 1003 (Amendment) 2019 (1.61 MB) takes effect from the monthly returns for January 2019 and the quarterly return for the quarter ending March 2019.

2013
MAS Notice 1003 (Amendment) 2013 takes effect from the monthly returns for July 2013 and the quarterly return for the quarter ending 30 September 2013.
2012
MAS Notice 1003 (Amendment) 2012 takes effect from the monthly returns for March 2012 and the quarterly return for the quarter ending 31 March 2012.
