This notice applies to all finance companies. It sets out the requirements on the submission of monthly statistical reports to MAS, including format, completion notes and timeframe.

MF (ED)        Circular dated 27 March 1968,

F.C.              Circular dated 16 September 1968 and

FC Notice 4    dated 1 November 1973 are cancelled.

Submission of Statistics

Pursuant to Section 21(1) of the Finance Companies Act, finance companies are required to submit to the Authority the monthly statement of assets and liabilities within 10 days of the last day of each month.

The statement should be duly signed by an authorised officer of the finance company to the effect that the contents of the statement are true and correct.

A specimen copy of the monthly statement of assets and liabilities together with a copy of the explanatory notes is shown in Appendix A.
