Webinar: Powering our International Financial Centre with a Globalised Singaporean Workforce

In this 3rd webinar of the Growing Timber series, Dr Tan See Leng, Minister for Manpower, spoke about the need for a globalised workforce to power our international financial centre. Recognising that a substantial proportion of financial sector jobs are international-facing in nature, he called upon individuals to embrace overseas posting opportunities to build international capabilities. He also encouraged financial institutions to equip Singaporeans with international capabilities and mindsets so they can navigate and thrive in the global business environment

At the event, a panel of industry leaders also shared the importance of having a globalised workforce from financial institutions’ perspective, and related their personal overseas working experiences and how it helped them progress in their careers.
