The Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF) organised its first virtual Jobs and Skills Fair for the financial services sector on 12 and 13 August 2020.

The event featured a keynote speech by MAS’ Deputy Managing Director (Markets & Development), Ms Jacqueline Loh on MAS’ priorities to support the local workforce in the financial sector, by urging all financial institutions (FIs) to step up in three ways:

1. FIs should review their hiring practices to ensure compliance with MOM’s requirements under the Fair Consideration Framework;
2. FIs should actively identify and groom Singaporeans with high potential for leadership roles; and
3. FIs should strengthen their HR capabilities, for example, by certifying their HR professionals with the Institute of Human Resource Professionals (iHRP).
