Project 1: FMBS Architecture Review

Description of project

Under the TEDA Programme, you will be part of the ITD -Central Banking Division (CBD) team to perform the architecture review of the Front, Middle and Back Office System (FMBS). FMBS supports the Reserve and Monetary management activities of MAS. Functions include trade capturing, portfolio management, settlement, compliance, accounting, risk management and performance measurement activities. 

Given that FMBS is a critical system, you will be responsible to help ensure system resiliency and business continuity as part of the revised architecture. During the programme, you will have the opportunity to review the business needs and streamline access to the various market data providers and trade execution platform.

Expected deliverables for the project

Deliverables include:
- Project Management: Track activities against project schedule and follow-up with participants on action items.
- Analysis & Design: Participate in discussions with application vendors to develop possible IaaS/SaaS/hybrid solutions.
- Analysis & Design: Engage with MAS cloud architect, infrastructure teams and Cloud Service Providers for cloud hosting requirements and design.
- Compliance: Perform initial risk assessment to host critical information infrastructure system on cloud by end 2023.
- Tender Preparation: Engage stakeholders and collate high level non-functional and technical requirements to publish tender by Q1 2024.
- Implementation: Involve in vendor management for design and implementation of solution in 2025/2026.

Project 2: Digital Asset Specialist

Description of project

Under the TEDA Programme, you will be supporting MAS and work with the financial industry to facilitates the development of infrastructure, adoption of technology and upgrading of skills in the financial industry.
As a Digital Asset Specialist you will be responsible to lead industry experimentations to explore the use of emerging technology and establish industry-wide digital infrastructure

During the programme, you will have the opportunities to work on projects like Project Orchid, Guardian and Ubin+ and together with internal stakeholders (e.g MAS’ supervisory teams, policy teams) and external stakeholders (e.g FIs) to ensure deliverables are achieved. 

Expected deliverables for the project

Deliverables include:
- Create a digital asset demo using open-source tools (e.g. flutterflow, python) to showcase how the financial industry could be transformed with the introduction of digital assets.
- Lead experimentations in support of digital assets initiatives
- Collaborate with the financial industry in Singapore, other central banks international organisations and research community on topics relating to digital assets and related implication
- Educate internal and external stakeholders on features and usages of digital assets
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to assess evolving technical, legal and regulatory issues and risks relating to digital assets 
- Recommend and deliver effective solutions to address project related issues, as well as day to day work on promoting the use of digital assets

Project 3: SCRIPS Acceptance Testing and Day2 SOP

Description of project

Under the TEDA Programme, you will be part of ITD-PSD to perform the user acceptance testing for SCRIPS and assist in designing and documenting the Day2 operation for SCRIPS.  Candidate will be exposed to (a) approach and methodology of application testing and test management, (b) production operations of SCRIPS.

Expected deliverables for the project

Deliverables include:
- Test Management: To assist in planning and coordinating the testing effort by the Payment System Divisions
- Functional Testing: Understand the functionalities and operations of SCRIPS and participate in the functional testing
- Product Operations Lifecyle: Understand that business processes of operating SCRIPS; Develop the standard operating procedure for business operations post cutover in Jun 2024; Provide BAU support and facilitate business operations on SCRIPS.
