Project 1: Strengthening AML risk surveillance in the financial industry

Description of project

Under the TEDA Programme, you will be part of the AMLR team responsible to 
- support in the risk assessments conducted for our financial institutions (FIs) in banking, non-banking and payments service providers, 
- assist in operations for VISION, a network visualisation cum case management system for case investigation, 
- assist in system development and implementation for COSMIC a platform for financial institutions to share information with each other to prevent financial crimes.

Expected deliverables for the project Risk Assessments:
Technical Competency: Development, Data Analytics and Engineering
- Collect survey submissions from FIs and assess the returns for inherent risk computation and assessment.
- Respond to queries from FIs and help build an internal knowledge repository for FAQs.
- Involved in identifying areas of improvements in the current risk assessment process and streamlining business processes through process re-engineering. 
- Implement and develop tool using python to help in data extraction, cleansing, verification, and analysis of the returned submissions.

VISION:
Technical Competency: Vendor Management, Business Analysis, System Operation Management and Quality Assurance
- Assist in performance testing, user acceptance testing and provide user feedback.
- Assist in data pipes configurations, data cleansing and transformation activities.
- Automate identified workflow processes using Javascript.
- Provide operation support and trouble-shooting of issues during system operations.                           

COSMIC: (12 months):
Technical Competency: Vendor Management, Business Analysis, System Operation Management and Quality Assurance
- Support COSMIC project team in eliciting, scoping, developing, and managing business requirements and support team in consolidating information from FIs.
- Assist in performance testing, user acceptance testing and provide user feedback.

Project 2: Design and develop Monetary Management Platform

Description of project

Under the TEDA Programme, you will be part of the ITD -Central Banking Division (CBD) team to work on the building of the Monetary Management Platform. MAS is currently running multiple legacy systems to support the money market operations. The objective of the project is to review the business requirement and consolidate the legacy application into a single platform. The new platform will be deployed on cloud and staff will be exposed to cloud native application architecture design.

Expected deliverables for the project Deliverables include:
- Tender Preparation - Gathering requirements by engaging stakeholders and reviewing existing documentations 
- Tender Preparation - Devising the high-level technical design for publishing tender by end 2023
- Implementation - Track activities against project schedule and take actions when there are deviation in timeline (throughout the programme).
- Implementation – Participate in functional and non-functional testing and coordinate with business users on test management
- Operation lifecycle – Recommend and deliver effective solutions to address project-related issues, as well as to support day-to-day needs, as necessary (throughout the programme)

Project 3: Design and develop the enhanced SAMS (SSGS and Advance Deposit Management System)

Description of project

Under the TEDA Programme, you will be part of the ITD -Central Banking Division (CBD) team that is working on the redevelopment to enhance MAS’ “Special Singapore Government Securities” (SSGS) non-tradable bonds of the Government funds. You will be responsible for supporting the SSGS redevelopment project which will be migrated to Government Cloud, as well as supporting day-to-day project and technical needs of the department as necessary. During the programme, you will have the opportunities to work closely with internal stakeholders (e.g. MAS’ technical and compliance teams, Finance and Operations team) and external stakeholders (e.g. vendors, FIs, and other agencies) to ensure that deliverables are achieved and to troubleshoot issues.

Expected deliverables for the project Deliverables include:
- Project Management: To assist in the drafting and writing of  the tender draft up-till the award of the project, assist in the project kick-off, track project activities against schedule and follow-up with participants on action items.
- Analysis & Design: To work with with application vendors in the setup in GCC, development, verification, migration, and delivery of the required solution, coordinate with users, and coordinate with the MAS cloud architect, infrastructure teams and Cloud Service Providers for cloud hosting requirements and design.
- Compliance: Perform the necessary risk assessments in relation to the project’s migration from existing to new where necessary.
- Implementation: Manage the vendor for design and implementation of solution in 2023-2025.
- Post go-live: Prepare and operationalise the new system after cutover.
